[Podcast] RL 110: Jessica Glassburn — Motherhood and Law: Managing Career Transitions with Active Parenting

In this episode, I am excited to have Jessica Glassburn on to talk about juggling career transitions and motherhood.

Jessica grew up in Washington D.C. but has spent most of her adult life in the Midwest. She has practiced in family law and worked in law school admissions offices, and currently works as the Program Chair for Paralegal and Legal Studies at Ivy Tech Community College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She has been happily married for 4 ½ years with an almost 14-year-old, a 2-year-old, and their dog.

Topics Covered

  • Career transitions, defining your identity outside of the law, and shifting and balancing your career with family.
  • The trials of online dating, getting married later in life, and dealing with infertility.
  • How her surprise adoption came about and the process of being there for her adopted son’s birth.
